Hello! I’m Jan (she/her)
I’m a Scottish wedding, vow renewal, naming and renaming celebrant, and the heart behind Iris & Sun Ceremonies.
Based in Bishopton, Renfrewshire, I create personalised ceremonies all over Scotland and destination celebrations across the UK and internationally.
My ceremonies are rooted in warmth and authenticity – a relaxed space for people to feel seen and be celebrated.
I’m passionate about honouring all of life’s meaningful moments, bringing heartfelt storytelling, a calm presence and a wee bit of whimsy.

I don’t believe ceremony should be reserved for traditional milestones.
Graduations, birthdays, retirement, friendship, recovery, reunions, new beginnings, a beloved pet or simply a chapter of life that deserves to be acknowledged.

I’ve got you!
I take time to really get to know you, listen closely and notice the small details that make your story yours. From the words I choose to the way the ceremony flows, everything is intentionally crafted with thought and care.
On the day, I bring my warmth and grounding energy, taking care of the practical bits behind the scenes. I lead the moment, but I’m not the centre of it. My role is to confidently hold the ceremony space so you can be fully present with the people you love.

I’m rooted in Bishopton, Renfrewshire, Scotland, but my heart is scattered around the world. I grew up in Dumfries and Galloway and have lived in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Surrey, Spain and America. Travel, people and culture have shaped who I am and the way I approach my celebrancy.
For me, a place matters because of the memories it holds, the feeling it creates and the people gathering there.
