Your vow renewal celebrant in Scotland

The first time, you made promises about a future you could only imagine. This time, you know what choosing one another really looks like, because you’ve lived it.

A vow renewal is a beautiful way to honour all the years in between, and celebrate everything still to come.

You don’t need to wait for a milestone

A significant anniversary is a lovely reason to renew your vows, but it doesn’t have to be the only one.

You might want to celebrate the life you’ve built, mark a new chapter, gather people who couldn’t be there the first time, or reclaim a wedding experience that never quite felt like yours.

Maybe you’ve come through something difficult together. Or maybe you just feel grateful for the ordinary, precious reality of still choosing each other.

The life between then and now

A vow renewal gives you the freedom to tell the story of everything that came after the wedding.

The moves, the losses, the celebrations, the changed plans and all the wee rituals and quirks that became part of your life together.

You might write new vows or revisit your original promises. Children and pets can be involved, along with music, readings, photographs, keepsakes or a symbolic ritual that reflects who you are now.

We can nod back to your wedding day or create something that stands completely on its own.

There’s no set wording or structure. This chapter is yours.

Love notes

When I first met Jan I found her to have a very calm presence. Extremely articulate, charming and a great sense of humour. It was obvious she had taken the time to get to know the couple’s back story and injected her passion and sentiment into her delivery. I would recommend Iris & Sun Ceremonies unreservedly.

A few things people ask

Is a vow renewal legally binding?

No, and it doesn’t need to be. You’re already married, so this ceremony is about the memories you’ve made, the life you share and the promises you want to make now.

Can we do renew our vows abroad?

Can children or pets be part of it?
